Great surprise

I read these reviews before going To Sach's last night. They were right. The food was excellent, plentiful, and very nicely presented. And the price was very reasonable. Since Jim does it all he likes people to call ahead so he can schedule tables and minimize the bottleneck in the kitchen. And... we got a 16oz. draft and 4 top shelf drinks from the bar for $14. That's about half what it would cost at other restaurants. If you have time, and don't mind simple surroundings, you will love this place.

Really a diamond on the ruff....Had four in our party, had Salmon wrapped in Phyllo, Shrimp, Spinach and Pasta and Pork tenderloin.....All delivered excellent flavor and the presentation was fantastic. Chef Jim does take the orders and buses his own tables too. Well worth the wait!. Gourmet-Homemade desserts too. Don't miss this one.

Best Food In ALL this area!!!

The incredible sea food here was so amazing, I haven't had such well prepared since Maui. The price is beyond right, and don't be deceived by the look of the place, but be patient, or go early. The chef waits on one table himself at a time. This is the premier restaurant to go to in miles and miles!!!

Interesting casual dining

As mentioned above, this is a small corner sports bar with seating for about 30 in the back. They serve bar food as well as some interesting dishes. We had Duck nachos (actually crisp chinese noodles with Wasabi sauce), Veal Florentine (salty but tasty pasta with arugula, romano, mushrooms and sundried tomatoes) and Crab and cheese filled green peppers. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Cash only and no fancy service but well worth a visit. No salads or bread and get your own drinks at the bar. We were told they get crowded on weekend nights.

Understated and YUMMY

This place is a hidden treasure! Off the beaten path, well worth the of those "can't judge a book by it's cover" The quaint little bar and resturant in the back offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The surprise is the gourmet cook, Jim who waits on you, start to finish, his dishes a work of art as well as delicious. The prices so reasonable...but only bring cash, no checks or credit cards. Not open on Mondays, a different menu of specilaties every night including dessert. Recommended

Recently had dinner here- food was TO DIE FOR! I had lamb chops, done to a perfect Medium Rare, served with mashed potoatoes over asparagus. The flourless chocolate cake we unbelievable. All for $52.00 for 3 people. The a diamond in the rough! It's a must.

worth the wait

The owner of this modest restaurant seems to be a one man band so don't go expecting fast service. The food is fabulous. We had meatloaf because another diner came over to our table and said it was the best she had ever had. And the presentation! Even something as simple as meatloaf looked elegant. Neither appetizers nor desserts could be resisted and our bill was just $15. each.

Best Corned Beef Ever

This is a place I probably would not have gone to EVER. Found out about it from a friend. Do not judge this book by it's cover. This was one of the best meals I have ever had, forget about the price. Down right cheap for what you get. Food was exceptional. If you want a great meal and don't care about atmosphere definitely check this out. Take cash. No fancy service, but you won't be disappointed. Trust me.
