We have eaten at Lincoln in Highland on several times and no matter what we order we are never disappointed. The best sandwiches not only in size, but awesome tasting, reasonable price, friendly staff. Highly recommended. Also great pies. We just ordered 3 for thanksgiving. Cherry, Apple, and Pumpkin. YUMMMMMMMMM.
Their best sandwich, while in Cal city was the USS Steel. I have not visited the Indiana store yet, but if that sandwich is still on the menu, you must try it. I have never had a better roast beef sandwich. It would certainly qualify to be on the Food Network show "The Best Thing I ever Ate". And the Coconut Pie is to die for. Next time I make it back to Indiana, I am going to Lincoln's!
I went to Lincoln Carry Out when it was in Gary in the 1960's. Others have copied, but the original, which is now in Highland, is still the best. It's the cadillac of sub sandwiches.
This sandwich shop is the BEST! i have never heard of it before one of cousin's suggested that we get lincoln's one night and suggested that i try the sibly special! The sibly special is so AWSOME! i taste very yummy! i like it better than subway!
Lincoln Carry Out originally started out in Gary, Ind. This Lincoln is still owned by the family of the original owners. All the rest are copies and not as good. This is by far THE best sandwich shop in northwest Indiana. The restaurant is spotless and welcoming.
Its one of the greatest sandwich shops in northwest indiana. Any kind of sandwich you want they are sure to have it. You can dine in or carry out. I would suggest carry out as restaurant part is nothing special. This restaurant use to be in Calumet City, Ill. and has moved to Highland, Ind.
